Mitsubishi home theater is proud to introduce the WL-8291 3, the most advanced projection television ever produced. With an 82” screen, not only is it the largest mass-produced rear projection television in history, it contains many technological breakthroughs in digital imaging and optics. In addition to the stunning picture performance of this new technology, the WL-82913 incorporates all of the video, convenience, and ease-of-use features found on our premium integrated televisions. Now you can have beauty, performance, and convenience all in one package.

At the heart of the WL-8291 3 is an all-new method of forming a projected image: LC0S technology)’ LC0S (liquid crystal on silicon) is a technology uses a liquid crystal to control the amount of light reflected toward the screen. The light then passes through a series of optical components and onto a projection screen. Mitsubishi employs three separate LC0S devices in the WL-82913, one each for red, green, and blue (8GB). Compared with traditional LCD projection methods,LC0S has the following benefits:

• Smoother picture texture due to thinner visible separations between the pixels.
• Efficient manufacturing process using more traditional IC methods, resulting in higher quality and lower Costa.
• Integrated circuitry is isolated from the bright light, reducing its temperature and thereby improving overall reliability and longevity.

There are also many benefits to the way Mitsubishi has applied LC0S technology, including:

• 1920 horizontal >< 1080 vertical pixel resolution—more than double that of other digital matrix projection technologies today.
• No color wheels, rotating prisms, or other moving optical parts.
• 200 waft lamp for increased brightness. (consumer replaceable)
• Up-conversion of all lower-resolution input signals to 1080p for a smooth, seamless texture.
• Direct input of 1080p signals via 8GB for the highest possible image quality.
• Multiple PC monitor formats (VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA. and W-XGA).
• Multiple image sizes for viewing PC monitor images.
• The WL-82913 can be separated into two pieces for easy delivery.
• High-gloss black contemporary cabinet.
